Get the Look: Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween Everyone!

If you don't have your costume yet? AND you have a party or two to go to tonight, don't stress.  It's time to raid your closet for some easy last minute costume ideas!

Idea #1: K-Pop Star (Korean Pop Star)

Get the Look:
For the Guys: Revive an old suit, with some bright colored shirts and chains Or decorate an old varsity jacket with fun different sized pins and sport lense-less nerd glasses. Take some gel and hairspray, then fluff up your hair with a blow dryer and brush.

For the Girls: Run to your closest drug store and grab fake lashes, liquid eyeliner, and bright pink lip gloss apply all three, liberally. Then find a Madonna style wig with a long ponytail, re-vamp an old leather jacket with studs and patches and rock sky high heels to complete the look.

Idea #2: EVERY American Pop Diva (...lately...)

Get the Look:
Buy a cheapie bodysuit from American Apparel, add a wide belt, tights and find a messy long wig (that looks like you've been dancing all night). Slip on some high heeled boots and you're done!

Whatever you choose to wear/ do for Halloween, have fun with it!... no regrets about your costume, because that's what drunken Facebook pics are for! ;)

Happy Halloween! <3

Pop Music and Chanel

Everyone recognizes the Chanel logo, the two intersecting C's have always represented opulence and high status. However, has anyone looked at it and thought "Pop Music"? Probably not, but you're a big fan of pop (like me ;)), after this post the name Chanel should have more relavance in your life. Claiming to own over 70 ipods, the artistic director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld is more than dedicated to music.

Lily Allen starts at 1:37

Being one of the most famous pop-producing-Brits, Lily Allen was a chic choice for Lagerfeld to include in his Spring '10 show.

Florence Welch

Ever since "The Dog Days are Over" peaked on the Billboard Charts, Florence and the Machine has become a household name. Apparently her name crept into the abode and ears of Chanel's head designer. (Chanel Spring '12)

Inspired by Amy Winehouse starts at 1:26

Piqued by the iconic Beehive hair style, the hairstylists of Chanel in 2007 created an Amy Winehouse/Bridget Bardot inspired "do" on their models.

To conclude, Chanel is more than a brand or sign of wealth, it is a statement of what is significant today in entertainment and music.
