Last night (Oct. 18, 2011) New York City's legendary Studio 54 reopened for one last time since in closed in 1986. This start studded event was a time warp with guests such Cameron Diaz, Emma Roberts, and even Donald Trump, and who better to DJ the night than our boy Avicii. This event, sponsored by SiriusXM, was decked out in over-the-top, authentic decorations, just like back in the day. Tearing up the floor were drag queens, old school Studio 54 goers, and yours truly. Guests were sipping champagne served by hunky waiters in blue tighty whiteys until the wee hours of the night. The energy of this night was unbelievable and the music was bumping. Avicii played his original tunes, like "Fade Into Darkness," along with a few new ones. Avicii tweeted:
"Studio 54 that was phenomenal, thank you for letting me be a part of history! Special thanks to@siriusxm for a great event!"
Wether or not you were there you could still listen in with Sirius XM's live stream of the night from the comfort of your own home...but it could never measure up to the real thing!
